Places are still available on our London Bridges Walk, which takes place on Sunday 20th March 2022, starting at Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park.
There is a 5-mile and 10-mile route to choose from, with both passing some of London’s most iconic bridges and landmarks, including Parliament Square and Tower Bridge.
Ian and his family have supported the Hospice since his mum, Carol, received end of life care in our Inpatient Unit. They are taking on our London Bridges Walk to help raise funds for the Hospice. Ian said: “Three years ago, my mum passed away in the Inpatient Unit. She had been ill with cancer and we knew she needed extra help, so she was admitted to the Unit to manage her pain. The care was fantastic and the team at Peace Hospice Care were absolutely amazing – they care for you but they also care about you. Not only do they look after the medical needs but they really care about the individuals. We chose this event as it’s one we can do as a family, with my children, my brother and his family. It will just be a really nice family day out.”
Peter Rasmussen, Community & Events Manager at Peace Hospice Care, said: “This is a fantastic event for all the family and can be completed at your own pace, allowing time to stop for lunch or to view the capital’s many iconic sights. There is still plenty of time to secure your place so why not gather your friends and family and sign up today”,
Registration costs £15 for adults and £8 for children (under 18) before 15th February 2022 and under 5s are free. Participants can raise further funds for the charity by seeking sponsorship for taking part on the day.
