Luther Blissett and Mayor, Peter Taylor Launch Event

Today, 1st September 2021, we were so grateful to be joined by our Patron, Luther Blissett, and, Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, at the Hospice at the launch of our Pedal for the Peace event. Luther and Peter officially kicked off the event with a ribbon cutting, and also got on a bike themselves to help us start racking up the miles.

Pedal for the Peace, kindly sponsored by Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, runs throughout September and bookings for the event, via our website and Events team, are open to all. We have installed 10 static bikes outside the front of the Hospice building and are inviting our local community, (businesses, friends and family groups, public service groups, schools and more), to join forces to help us achieve our mission of cycling around the world (24,901 miles!) and raising £30,000, in celebration of our 30th anniversary.

Our bikes for this event have been very kindly provided by Everyone Active Watford Woodside and One YMCA Watford.
We were also excited to welcome Linda, Anne and the team from The Kitchen Croxley as our first group to take part in the event! They have so far raised an amazing £1,200 for the Hospice. Thank you so much to Luther, Peter, Linda and Anne for all of your support.
