Coronavirus – Keeping our Patients and their Families Safe

We continue to support patients and their families although some of our services are operating differently due to the pandemic, including providing tele counseling to support our patients and to minimize risk.  The health, safety, and wellbeing of patients, families, supporters, volunteers, staff, and the wider community is our top priority.

Please keep yourselves safe and well and follow Government guidance.  You can find the latest information and advice from the Government, here:

Our Inpatient Unit is open and we continue to accept referrals for patients.  We are currently only able to accommodate restricted visits to the Inpatient Unit for our patients receiving end-of-life care.  We ask all family and friends of patients in our Inpatient Unit at the Hospice to telephone in advance of visiting. Please call on 01923 330 330 and ask to be put through to the Inpatient Unit (IPU).

We are testing all visitors to the Inpatient Unit on a daily basis and advising them, before they visit, of the arrangements we have in place to keep everyone safe i.e. restrictions to a number of visitors, use of hand sanitizer on arrival, wearing Personal Protective Equipment.

Our visitor guidance is reviewed on an ongoing basis, the current guidance is available here: Visiting Patients At Peace Hospice Care 1st April 2021.

We know this is a difficult time, more so because of the changes in place due to Coronavirus. Our thanks to the relatives and friends of our patients for their understanding.

Thanks too to our dedicated Patient Services staff and to the local community for their support including their kind words and the donations of money and items.
