Compassionate Cafes – What Are They and Who Are They For?

What is a Compassionate Cafe?

A Compassionate Cafe is a drop-in morning, taking place in a local Cafe, which provides a space for members of our community who have been affected by any type of loss and would like to come along for a friendly chat and a chance to meet others over a cup of tea.

We currently host one Compassionate Cafe a month at The Kitchen, Croxley (198 Watford Road, Croxley Green, WD3 3DB).

This Cafe runs on the first Friday of every month from 10am-11:30am.

Upcoming dates

  • Friday 5th August
  • Friday 2nd September
  • Friday 7th October

‘I’m so grateful for Peace Hospice Care having a meeting arranged once a month, it certainly helps me with the loss of my husband and it’s also a place where if I need to cry I can and it’s good to talk to others who have experienced a death, lastly but not least it helps talking over a cup of coffee or tea and a cake!

There is no need to book, so please just come along. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Fiona Hobbs in our Engagement team at: fhobbs@peacehospicecare.org.uk, or at: 01923 330 330.
