Staff Nurse

Are you a person-centred nursing professional looking for a new opportunity to use your skills and experience in a calm and reassuring environment?
Would you like to be a part of a dedicated team which delivers holistic care to patients?
Do you want to make a real difference to patients and their loved ones?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’, then we’d like to hear from you!

We are recruiting experienced, enthusiastic and compassionate nurses to join our committed Specialist Palliative Care Inpatient Unit team. Our Hospice has a 12-bed Inpatient Unit offering a home-from-home environment for family to visit; our nurses deliver the highest level of focused care while being able to engage with the patients and their loved ones. Successful candidates will work in a dedicated team of nurses and multi-disciplinary staff and be encouraged and supported by the Hospice to develop your skills and progress your career.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be able to contribute to the wider palliative and end of life care agenda, ensuring a responsive and effective service for our patients. Previous palliative care experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome from recently qualified nurses.

If you have vision, drive and enthusiasm for facilitating outstanding palliative care then Peace Hospice Care is the place for you!

This post attracts a £2000 joining incentive, paid in your first salary and a further £2000 after a successful probation period (usually 6 months)

We offer additional benefits and enhancements for nights and weekends with the ability to continue to contribute to an existing NHS pension scheme. We are proud of our workforce and provide an excellent programme for continuous professional development.

We Offer

  • Superb professional development opportunities
  • Excellent working environment that is supported by an open culture of learning and development for all our staff and volunteers
