Senior Staff Nurse – Inpatient Unit

The successful candidate will:

  • Work within a dedicated team of nurses and multi-disciplinary staff to deliver the highest level of Specialist Palliative and End of Life nursing care.
  • Lead on and coordinate the assessment, planning and evaluation of individualised patient centred care.
  • Ensure a holistic approach that is sensitive and responsive to the patients ever changing needs.
  • Maintain a respectful non-judgemental and caring attitude ensuring the Peace Hospice vision and philosophy of care is integral to the care delivered and role undertaken.

Experience in a hospital or community setting, specialities include but not limited to: oncology; palliative care; general medical and surgical; accident and emergency; critical care and community/district nursing.

Previous palliative care experience is desirable but not essential as training and support will be provided.

Applicants must be NMC registered and applications from newly qualified nurses are welcomed.

Peace Hospice Care is based in central Watford with good transport links by train and road, accessible via Watford Junction, Metropolitan line tube and M1 and M25 Motorways. Our 12 bed inpatient unit offers a home from home environment for family to visit.
