Senior Head of Patient Services – Community & Outpatients Services

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Palliative Care Clinician/Health Care Service Lead/Manager with excellent leadership skills, who has extensive experience of leading Community and/or Outpatients services.
This role will work closely with our Senior Head of Patient Services – Inpatient Unit & Patient Services Governance. This post is a 12-month fixed term contract position.

The Community Team consists of multi professional and skilled staff and volunteers supported by a team lead, a coordinator and administrators. Outpatients provide a range of services including rehabilitative and wellbeing interventions, counselling, physiotherapy, and creative arts to support people from an earlier stage of their illness. Bereavement support is also available.

In this senior role you will be responsible for the continued development, efficiency and effective operational management of the Palliative Response Team (PRT), Rapid Personalised Care Service (RPCS), as well as our Outpatient Services.
You will need to ensure our services are able to meet our Palliative/End of Life patients and their families changing demands as well as ensuring safe staffing and clinical standards are maintained across the Patient Services Directorate.

You will be a core member of the integrated Senior Clinical Management Team, and will be required demonstrate strong leadership abilities to proactively deliver upon the clinical services and wider organisational strategic objectives.

You will also be responsible for coordination of the multi-disciplinary team and the implementation of new service developments and initiatives, ensuring the best use of resources.
