Digital Marketing Manager

Do you have the website, social media, copywriting and strategic marketing experience to raise our charity’s profile, increase our reach and attract donations to support local people with life-limiting illness?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and forward-thinking individual to be the Digital Marketing Manager for our organisation to help us raise our profile and engage with the audiences that matter to us – our patients, and their families, in the community we serve as well as volunteers and supporters.

You are someone who is happy working ‘hands on’, but is also able to analyse our digital marketing activity and make recommendations for the future. You are able to disseminate complex information into layman’s terms and teach other members of the charity about the principles of digital marketing. You also have the people management skills to deputise for our Head of Marketing & Communications when needed.

To succeed in the role, you will need to:

Be a digital expert – thoroughly knowledgeable on organic and paid social media and great experience using CMS platforms like WordPress.

Lead and execute all digital marketing campaigns – from idea generation through to evaluation.

Utilise strong analytical ability – evaluating end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

Identify trends and insights – optimise spend and performance based on the insights.

Collaborate with other teams across the Hospice – creating impressive and engaging client-centred landing pages.

Set targets, KPIs and milestones for campaigns – reporting back to the Head of Marketing & Communications and the Executive Team on results and insight, advising on areas for improvement.

Evaluate emerging technologies – provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption of these where appropriate
Be a real and enthusiastic people person and a great communicator – an excellent and skilled communicator to a range of audiences including staff, volunteers, patients and supporters.

Be a strong multi-tasker and have exceptional organisational skills – who can work under pressure, juggle priorities and demands from different departments, whilst being on top of deadlines and having an excellent attention to detail.

Be someone with a practical and proactive ‘can do’ attitude – who focuses on the solution, not the problem.

• Superb professional development opportunities
• Excellent working environment that is supported by an open culture of learning and development for all our staff and volunteers.
• Workplace pension with Peace Hospice Care matching contributions up to 7%. Alternatively, new clinical members of staff at Band E & above who have a current NHS pension can apply to continue their pension during their employment at the Hospice.
• 27 days’ annual leave per year rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part time employees)
• Employee benefits including Cycle to Work and Computer purchase schemes
• Employee Assistance Programme
