Community & Events Fundraising Manager

Peace Hospice Care is seeking a proactive and experienced Community & Events Fundraising Manager to lead a small team in its ambitious plans for developing our community and events fundraising portfolio.

You’ll work in a supportive team and will have the opportunity to be creative and innovative whilst gaining immense job satisfaction by making a positive difference to our service users, volunteers and the wider community.

• Developing and implementing both the community and events fundraising strategy and annual operational plans to raise budgeted income within agreed expenditure budgets, through a portfolio of Peace Hospice Care organised events (virtual & physical) and third-party community fundraising initiatives and packages.
• Providing exceptional stewardship to our events and community supporters including our support groups, schools/youth groups, religious/faith groups and others (Rotary Clubs, Freemasons and U3A groups etc.)
• Developing marketing plans and proactively seeking and securing new supporters to increase third-party community fundraising for Peace Hospice Care across South West Herts.
• Managing and developing our Community & Events Fundraiser and volunteering team in line with our charity’s policies and procedures.

• A proven track record in fundraising or events.
• A target-driven, strategic, ambitious and creative project manager.
• Broad range of skills in planning, marketing and event delivery.
• An exceptional relationship builder, able to present to and work effectively with a number of community supporters, event suppliers, participants, volunteers and colleagues across the wider Hospice.
• A strong multi-tasker with exceptional organisational and IT skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of small team.
