At Peace Hospice Care we provide free, specialist, palliative care to patients and their families facing life-limiting illness. We help them manage their conditions and provide support at end of life too. We have just embarked on a new 2020-2025 strategic plan and we are seeking motivated and committed individuals who will work with us in delivering on our ambitions, to:
- Reach more people and their families in our community living with a life-limiting illness
- Recognise, engage and actively respond to opportunities for working, sharing and learning from each other
- Manage our charity efficiently and effectively
We are interested in hearing from candidates who live in, or are familiar with, our catchment area of South-West Hertfordshire, and the wider area, understand the communities we serve and can provide strategic board management skills/experience, with specialist knowledge, in one of the following areas:
- Clinical, Health or Social Care
- Integrated Governance
- Human Resources
- Income Generation
- Communications and Marketing

This is a voluntary role and expenses will be paid for. The Board and Committees normally meet every quarter, there is an Annual General Meeting and all-day annual awayday usually held towards the end of the year. We will provide a full induction upon appointment with a chance to meet Trustees, staff and other stakeholders to find out more about how the Charity works.
