Assistant Accountant

Are you interested in an exciting opportunity within a high functioning, supportive and caring team? Peace Hospice Care is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join our small and supportive team.

The Assistant Accountant provides an important function to support the Head of Finance, Director of Resources and other Directors in Executive Team.

• Ensuring the bookkeeping duties are processed efficiently within a busy Finance Team
• Payroll processing
• Assist with the Monthly Management Accounts and regular meetings with budget holders
• Assist with Year-End Accounts

The successful applicant will have proven bookkeeping experience, excellent IT skills, the ability to plan and prioritise work, be a team player and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the values of Peace Hospice Care.

Experience of using Sage Line 50 is essential and working in a charity environment would be desirable.

Salary: £28,156pa to £32,776pa, depending on experience (Band E, pro rata to the hours worked )
