Belinda Chadwick has stepped down as a Trustee after over seven years

Our heartfelt thanks to Belinda Chadwick, a Trustee at Peace Hospice Care for over seven years, who stepped down from the role on 31st December 2018. Belinda has been a tireless supporter of our work and we would like to thank her for her dedication, sharing her expertise and experience and for bringing such insight and wise counsel to us. Belinda was a Trustee during a period of time which saw considerable change at the charity and she was integral to several of the significant advances we made during that time. She sat on the Fundraising and Retail Committee as well as the People and Resources Committee, as a Trustee. Belinda helped to steer us through, and provide wise counsel on, a number of challenges that we faced over the last seven years including the re-structuring of our Retail division and cuts to our NHS funding. Thank you, again, to Belinda for her support and we all wish her the very best of luck in the future.

Declan Carroll, CEO at Peace Hospice Care, said: "Serving as a member of a Board of Trustees, in a voluntary capacity, takes time, patience and dedication and Belinda exhibited all of those. She attended meetings and events regularly but also rolled up her sleeves to help out alongside staff and other volunteers at our fundraising events and regularly visited our Shops. That kind of support makes a huge difference and really captures the essence of what she brought to us and our work - caring, thoughtful and committed, she always had an encouraging word for staff and volunteers and inspired us to continually improve. On both a professional and a personal level I'd like to thank Belinda for her tremendous support over the last seven years.
