Hospice Care Week activities and Peace Hospice Care
We're glad to be supporting Hospice Care Week again this year. This is a national initiative led by Hospice UK. It aims to raise awareness of hospice care - what it is and why it matters.
We are involved in a number of activities during the week and hope that individuals, groups and organisations can get involved too.
We're kicking off with bucket collections in Watford on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October. Our charity shops are changing their window displays and providing information to visitors about our services.
At the Hospice itself our staff are going purple on Tuesday 9th October to show support and we are hosting our own cake sale too.
We are also getting creative and encouraging patients, families and staff to decorate hand crafted wooden hearts with their own artistic designs to capture what hospice care means to them.
You can find out more information about how to get involved in fundraising activities during the week here.
