Will Peace Hospice Care's volunteer, Elizabeth Timmons, be your Christmas Star?
The Intu Centre has invited the general public to nominate people from the local community to turn on their Christmas lights this year. Our volunteer, Elizabeth Timmons from Watford, is one of five people who have been short listed and it's now to a public vote before Friday 28th October.
Elizabeth Timmons has been volunteering the Hospice in Watford for the past 25 years. Since the beginning of the Hospice, Elizabeth has worked tirelessly to help patients and raise vital funds. She still volunteers every Tuesday in the Inpatient Unit at the Hospice, serving tea and comfort to both patients and their families.
As a young girl, Elizabeth was also a midwife at Watford General Hospital for many years and has brought hundreds of local Watford babies into the world – she is even still in touch with many of these families today!
To vote for Elizabeth to officially light up the Intu centre at their Christmas light switch on event on Thursday 10 November please click here.
