Wendi Peters, best known for her role as Cilla Battersby-Brown on Coronation Street and Celebrity Masterchef contestant, will be starting Peace Hospice Care's 10th and final Starlight Walk!

The final Starlight Walk will take places on the 9th July 2016, starting at the Watford Colosseum. In the past, Martin Kemp, Shirlie Kemp and Brian Conley have all supported the Hospice's annual women's walk.

This year, Wendi, who lives in Chorleywood, will be helpings start the final Starlight Walk and accompanying the walkers down Watford High Street. Wendi said: "I'm thrilled to support Peace Hospice Care's final Starlight Walk! It's a fabulous ladies event for such a wonderful cause. Hospice care is close to my heart and something that has or will touch everyone in their lives.

"Why not sign up and be part of the Peace Hospice Care community. As well as supporting a great cause, you'll have a fun evening. See you there!"

Pete Watson, Events and Community Fundraising Manager, said: "We're thrilled and so grateful to Wendi for all her support! We're really hoping to make our final Starlight Walk go out with a bang and Wendi's support will definitely help us do that."
