On the 9th June Peace Hospice Care held their second free networking event at Faborje Watford.
Over 60 representatives from international, national and local businesses attended including: HSBC, CMR Recruitment and Everyone Active.
The elected Mayor of Watford and Peace Hospice Care's Patron, Dorothy Thornhill, gave a talk on her insight into the current developments occurring in and around Watford. The talk highlighted recent success in the retail sector, current investment in the area and what these changes mean for the Watford community.
Nina Goodyear, HSBC Branch Manager in Watford, said: "It was a fantastic well arranged evening and my colleagues and I really enjoyed being part of it. It is really important that as Watford Town Centre goes through a time of change that we have these opportunities to be able to reach out and support each other and also give us the opportunity to discuss how we are supporting the Hospice. Thank you to Peace Hospice Care for all the time and effort that went into making the evening a great success."
Vicky Luk, Corporate Fundraising Manager at the Hospice, said: "We're delighted that everyone enjoyed the evening and would like to thank Faborje for providing the perfect networking atmosphere and to Baroness Thornhill for being our guest speaker - her talk was extremely informative and engaging. We will be confirming our next networking event shortly so look out for more details on our website and social media pages."
