Licenced operator of the UK National Lottery, Camelot Group, has chosen Peace Hospice Care as its local Charity of the Year 2016.

Staff of the national company, based in Watford, generously voted for the Hospice and are very keen to engage with the services delivered by Peace Hospice Care. So far their staff have volunteered in the Hospice's Starlight Centre, Garston Warehouse where they sorted shop goods, and re-painted the original Watford shop.

Panesha Chauhan, Retail Provisioning Representative at Camelot, who helped in the Starlight Centre said: "I had a fabulous day! It was nothing like I expected; I had a lot of fun interacting with the patients, who were all so highly spirited."

Panesha continued, "I think the Hospice does a tremendous job, especially with covering all aspects of life, not just with the patients but with consideration of the family's needs too. I was truly humbled."

Vicky Luk, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Peace Hospice Care, said: "We're thrilled that the staff at Camelot Group chose us as their local charity of the year! They have helped us where we don't have resources, and we've also enjoy having them at the Hospice to interact with our staff, other volunteers and people that use our services."
