For the second consecutive year, Bahlsen, one of the leading manufacturers of sweet biscuits in Europe, has chosen to support Peace Hospice Care as their Charity of the Year partner.
The international company, whose UK offices are based in Rickmansworth, have supported Peace Hospice Care over the last year by getting involved in the Hospice's events by marshalling and volunteering during events and donating biscuits. Their employees also took part in the Starlight Walk 2015, ran in aid of Peace Hospice Care in the Windsor Half Marathon and hosted their own events to support the Hospice.
Carley Watson, Marketing Executive at Bahlsen, said: "We've really enjoyed getting involved in the work that Peace Hospice Care do. Even though we are an international company, we think it's important to support local charities, which is why we've chosen the Hospice to be our Charity of the Year for another year. Peace Hospice Care have also helped us connect with the local community and other businesses. We look forward to working closely with them this year."
So far, Bahlsen have raised £14,648 for Peace Hospice Care. Vicky Luk, Corporate Fundraising Manager said: "I couldn't be more delighted to work alongside Bahlsen for another year! They have been so involved with what we do here at the Hospice and have shown real interest in the progress of our services, funding and events. They have embodied the community spirit that we at Peace Hospice Care encourage and promote. It is partnerships like this that are integral to our fundraising programme. Not only do they help us raise funds, they also help spread awareness about the Hospice and what we do for the community amongst their employees, family and friends, as well as their customers."
