
On Saturday 18th June 2016, Peace Hospice Care are holding a 170ft abseil down the tallest building in Watford to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Alongside members of the community and local
businesses, eight staff from the hospice, including CEO Declan Carroll, will be
undertaking the exhilarating challenge.
Two members of the finance team, Mary D'Souza from
Garston and Yvonne Cahill from North Watford, who are part of the hospice's
abseil team said: "It is going to be a
great team experience; we can all help each other." Both women added "It's going to be a real challenge but it is
something we have always wanted to do and it's for a worthwhile cause."
Watford Community
Housing Trust has granted Peace Hospice Care special access to abseil down the
side of the high rise building in Meriden, Watford, making this a unique and
rare opportunity for local members of the community and businesses to not only
complete a personal challenge, but also come together to raise much needed
funds for the local charity.
There are only
got 90 places available for the exciting and unique challenge.
