A very special reception at No. 10 Downing Street

As part of Peace Hospice Care's 25th Anniversary celebrations staff, trustees and supporters joined Samantha Cameron at No. 10 Downing Street for a very special charity reception.

Guests enjoyed drinks and canapes as well as an opportunity to explore the beautiful state rooms. Mrs Cameron congratulated the charity on 25 years of excellent care and Declan Carroll, Chief Executive, thanked the assembled supporters for their outstanding contribution. A Points of Light Award was presented to Peace Hospice Care volunteers John and Angela Steele, recognising the amazing contribution of all volunteers to the Hospice's many vital services.

In addition to celebrating the achievement of such a significant milestone, the reception provided an opportunity to look to the future and the many challenges it will bring. Declan stressed that Peace Hospice Care needs support more than ever as demand for services and the cost of providing care continue to rise, and asked those present to consider how their relationships with the charity could be taken forward.

This is a question we want to ask all our supporters during this special year. What does Peace Hospice Care mean to you? How can you support our work? If you would like to give your thoughts or arrange a meeting to discuss your ideas in more detail please call Deborah on 01923 330349 or email
