She's stepped out with strangers, paced purposefully with friends and strolled solo with an army of women! She's walked in summer storms, relentless rain and warm and wonderful night time air.

But no matter what the weather delivers, or who joins her for the energetic evening of fundraising, in the past nine years Audrey Adams from Watford has not missed being part of Peace Hospice Care's incredible Starlight Walk.

Now, awesome Audrey, is making sure she signs up for the tenth and final Starlight Walk  on Saturday July 9th and completes a decade of devotion for Peace Hospice Care.

'I first got involved with the Hospice in 2006 as a volunteer and I have been volunteering ever since,' said Audrey.

'Every year I have signed up for the Starlight Walk. I have some fantastic memories of the event and I really have had such a great time being part of this annual walk for women.

'I can remember the feeling of linking arms with friends and a whole line of women marching proudly up Cassiobury drive and getting a terrific welcome back.'

Peace Hospice Care Events & Community Fundraising  Manager Pete Watson, said,' This will be the last ever Starlight Walk and it really will be a huge celebration as it is taking part in our 25th anniversary year.

'We urge everyone to get involved one last time. We want the whole of Watford to stop, we want to raise as much as we can for Peace Hospice Care and we urge everyone to be part of this fantastic fundraiser that in the past decade has raised more than 1.4 million for Peace Hospice Care. It's been our biggest fundraiser of the year and of the decade!'

Taking part in the 2016 Starlight Walk promises to be an exceptional event.

Audrey has enticed many friends to take part in this all female fundraiser and will be doing the same this year. Gaining medals, an assortment of vibrant t-shirts and  raising  considerable funds for Peace Hospice Care has been all part of Audrey's historic journey.

'It really is a great night out,' said Audrey. 'It is also so important for the Hospice and the community of Watford.'

To coincide with the 20th Anniversary of the Spice Girls hit single, 'Wannabe', Watford Colosseum is proud to host an exhibition dedicated to the 90s pop phenomenon The Spice Girls.

Starlight Walk participants will  have the chance to pop into the Colosseum before the walk, to see 'Spice World, The Exhibition', celebrating the Spice Girls with the Guinness World Record breaking collection of artist and curator Liz West, who is the foremost collector of Spice Girls memorabilia and merchandise in the World.

On the evening there will also be fantastic live music, the ever popular warm up and a real party atmosphere before the walk sets off at 9pm. As in previous years there will be a choice of six mile or 13 mile routes around Watford and surrounding areas
