Our St Albans Shop is open!

Cutting the ribbon to officially mark the occasion was the Mayor of St Albans Councillor Salih Gaygusuz who promptly became the very first customer of the day as he eagerly purchased a collection of vinyl to show his support for the Hospice.

'I am delighted to be here and welcome you to St Albans,' he said. 'Last year 100 people in St Albans were supported by the services of Peace Hospice Care and we hope the people of St Albans support this shop.  It is a very worthy cause. I live in a charitable city.  The St Albans community have restored my faith in humanity.'

Joining him for the opening celebratory moment was Peace Hospice Care Chief Executive Declan Carroll and our Director of Trading Steve Rose.

Newly appointed shop manager Karen Grimwood,  Assistant Manager Sam Whelan, and Retail Manager Mandy Synnott were eager to meet and greet the new customers of St Albans including their special very first customer!

'This is a very exciting time,' said Karen Grimwood. 'We were delighted to serve the Mayor of St Albans as our very first customer. We hope many more people come through the door and support their Hospice. We have already received so many donations of good quality second hand clothes.  We look forward to many more.'

The St Albans Shop is located at 85 St Peters Street and is the 14th Peace Hospice Care shop.
