On Friday 9th October we want to turn the world purple. For the first time ever, school children, office workers, shop assistants and everyone who wants to, is being asked to wear Purple for The Peace.

The purple event is set to take place during Hospice Care Week, 5th until  11th October, an annual  national  campaign to raise awareness of their local hospice.

'We are trying to encourage people to wear purple at school, in offices, their workplaces, during dress down day. Wear purple clothes, or dye your hair purple, bake purple cakes and eat purple food,' says Peace Hospice Care Events Manager, Pete Watson.

Our Peace Hospice Care Charity Shops have been busy gathering purple clothing and accessories. If you want to browse through their collection and purchase your purple wardrobe then get in touch with the Hospice or browse a bargain at one of our charity shops.

So come on, join in! Make your colour count. Have a mauve moment and  be proud to be purple!
