Our loveable furry friend, Harvey the bear was amongst the four hundred plus people who enjoyed the sun, fun, entertainment and good times at Peace Hospice Care's first ever summer fete.

This summer fundraiser at Sun Postal Club, generated a wave of support from across the community as families stepped out to have an absolutely fabulous Sunday.

Live entertainment included Rock Chorus, Shades of Midnight and cheerleading group 'Twisted, Cheer and Dance' and was appreciated by all and in addition, Princesses and Superheros proved popular with the young generation.

A raffle donation of a 42 inch television from  Joseph Mcguire reflected the heart behind the event.

Peace Hospice Care Community Fundraising Manager, Tracey Bravo said, 'this is the first time we have organised a summer fete and we were delighted to see so many people coming along to support Peace Hospice Care and offering their time to help or by giving very generous donations for the raffle. We raised more than £2,000 and are still counting!'  'We all had a great time, especially Harvey the Hospice Bear!'
