Making money by making people laugh raised more than £1,700 for Peace Hospice Care at a sell out night of comedy.

Staged at the De Vere Hunton Park Hotel, the laughter was created by a great line up of comedians who gave their time, energy and entertainment to the Hospice.

Sandra Hale from Women in Business and  L'abito had sourced  the comics, and their witty stand up material was weaved together by MC Steve Owen Williams who helped make the night a success.

Audience members laughed, heckled, giggled and proved that laughter is not only the best medicine but is a great tonic for fundraising.

'I hope you do it all again,' said Lisa Stuart who loved the night of laughter.

Peace Hospice Care, Corporate Fundraising Manager, Lisa Ricketts praised the comics, organisers, De Vere staff and venue for their commitment to the event.

'There was a great atmosphere amongst the audience,' said Lisa. 'The comedians were very entertaining and everyone gave their time for free to support Peace Hospice Care.  It was such a great success that we hope to organise another comedy night in the future.'
