Youngsters serenade with heartwarming songs

A ten strong choir of young voices performed to patients at Peace Hospice Care bringing  joy and smiles  to the appreciative audience.

The young singers who were from the Reach Free School in Rickmansworth had written lyrics to 'The Hospice Song'  which were then applied to the music of  Bruno Mars ' Lazy Song'.

Their enthusiastic entertainment was part of the school's ethos to help the community.

'Our students were very aware of the work of the Hospice and it was their suggestion to perform to patients,' said teacher Louisa Sillett who is the co-ordinator for 'The Gleeks' choir. 'They had such a rewarding time and have been invited back to sing.'

One choir member summed up the importance of their performance commenting ' I never realised how something so insignificant to us could make such a difference to someone else.'
