Small change can make a big difference! That's the message from Peace Hospice Care who are asking every member of the community to dig deep in their pockets, piggy banks and purses and donate £1 or more to the "Have a Heart for your Hospice" campaign.
We have had a quiet Christmas of trading in our shops and have experienced a drop in our fundraising income.
Peace Hospice Care Chief Executive, Sue Plummer said 'We are asking people to get behind our appeal. It has been a challenging few months as we have had a quiet Christmas of trading in our shops and have experienced a drop in our fundraising income. We are asking everyone in the community to give £1 or more to this campaign. The power of your pound is priceless to patients with a life limiting illness and their families who need the services of Peace Hospice Care. £1 truly can make a difference'.
The campaign kicks off this week with local companies, schools, shops and fundraisers shaking tins and buckets and wearing "Have a Heart for the Hospice" badges. Individuals can make a donation by text or in one of the Peace Hospice Care charity shops. Peace Hospice Care is asking YOU to play your part, have a heart and get involved.
'We have collection buckets that we can bring to your office, pub, shop or school, and "Have a Heart for your Hospice" badges that we want the community to wear" added Sue. "Please get in touch and we can help you to help us. This really is a small ask that will scoop big results. We need to raise £4million every year to provide our services. "Have a Heart for your Hospice" and the power of the pound will make such a difference to so many people across South West Herts'.
