The Watford Football Club ‘Say no to no-shows’ campaign resulted in a much appreciated cheque boost of £3,343.50 for Peace Hospice Care.
The cheque presentation was made at halftime during the WFC v Bolton match on November 23 and presented to Hospice volunteer Jeff Coleman, a long term Hornets fan. The Hornets Community Sports & Education Trust also benefited from the scheme.
This fantastic funding opportunity was the result of a WFC initiative. Say no to no-shows encourages Season Ticket Holders who are unable to get to a home game to notify the club by email. Seats will then be released and the profit of a re-sale will be split evenly between Peace Hospice Care and Community Sports and Education Trust.
WFC will continue to run the campaign throughout the season and asks fans to let them know if they can’t make it to a match. If you can’t get to a home game email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, Fan ID and seat details and help support Peace Hospice Care.
