Wellbeing support

Always there for you

We have a team of experienced Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) accredited counsellors, to whom you can refer through your local GP. Just visit your GP and ask to be referred to the IAPT counselling service at Peace Hospice Care. You can receive eight free sessions of 1:1 counselling, giving you a weekly space to reflect on your experiences in a safe and confidential environment.

Our weekly Meditation Group is always there for you too, just drop in as you wish. It offers a space to learn mindfulness techniques, and may help you to find a much-needed place of calm, serenity and relaxation in your busy week as a carer.

Our weekly Talking Space group provides a relaxed and informal afternoon drop-in, where tea and cake and a listening ear is always available. You are always welcome – just pop in.

If you haven’t yet experienced the wonders of complementary therapies, our experienced therapists can provide you with sessions of massage, reiki, cranio-sacral therapy, Indian head massage or reflexology. Once you have registered with us as a carer, you can book in for a block of six free sessions to help alleviate feelings of stress and worry.

Carers in Herts run a monthly carers group from the Hospice where you can meet other carers and access information, support and many other services.

For further information about all these services, and more, please call 01923 330 330 and ask to speak to the Outpatient Team.

Help you find a much-needed place of calm, serenity and relaxation
