Donations and collections

We need your support

Our charity shops are always looking for good quality items to sell.

If you would like to donate any goods to us, please take them to one of our open shops. Please ensure that you call your nearest shop ahead to check the team are able to accept them. You can find your nearest shop and its opening hours here.

If a shop thinks an item is of high value they will send it to our eBay team. Our eBay team will then do some research before placing it for sale on our eBay shop or putting it in an auction. We appreciate all the donations we receive and want to make sure we make the most money from them.

What donations can you take?

We accept many donations including: clothing, bric-a-brac, jewellery, shoes, handbags, accessories, toys, small items of furniture and some shops also accept small electrical items.

At this time, we are unable to accept:

  • Pillows and duvets (unless brand new and boxed)
  • Children’s car safety seats (unless brand new and boxed)
  • Large items of furniture
  • Large electrical items
  • Microwaves

  • Prescription glasses
  • Counterfeit items
Your good quality donated items enable us to deliver our free services

Help us earn extra money

It costs you nothing

If you are donating to us and are a UK taxpayer then please ask a member of staff or volunteer for more information about Gift Aid.

Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows us to make an extra 25p from every £1 of your donated goods sold. So, a donated Gift Aid item that sells for £10 then becomes £12.50 once we claim the £2.50 in tax back.

The form only takes two minutes to complete and will not cost you anything. More information about Gift Aid can be found on the Gov UK website (
