Calling all knitters!
Take part in the second edition of our Christmas themed knitting fundraiser. If you love meeting up with close-knit friends for a knit and a natter, or you knit as a hobby, this is the perfect opportunity for you to support our patients and families whilst doing something you love!
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Knitting – knit as many Christmas items as you can and donate them to our Knitivity Appeal. You might choose to knit our cute robin, a tasty Christmas pudding, or you might want to try the snowman.
- Donating chocolate treats – we need lots of chocolate treats to pair with our knitted goods. When donating chocolate please make sure they have a sell by date lasting to at least the end of June 2022.
- Selling – we need lots of venues to sell our lovely Christmas knitted goods (schools, businesses, shops, cafes etc), so we can raise lots of money! If you can adopt a box of Christmas goodies to sell, we will supply you with posters, collection tins and a thank you certificate at the end.
Once you’ve knitted your items, you can drop them off at the Hospice reception, which is open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, or alternatively you can drop them to one of our shops (listed on our website).
100% of the money raised from our Knitivity Appeal will go towards patient care.
Please drop them to us by 1st December to provide enough time for us to sell them before Christmas.
To make this a success we’re really relying on people helping to spread the word, so please pass on our patterns and instructions to fellow knitters who might like to get involved.
