It was a night worth shouting about on the evening of 28th February, 2017.

Peace Hospice Care were announced as the winner of the Community and Voluntary Award at the Watford BID Service Excellence Awards. A team with representation across departments attended the night and took to the stage to accept the award.

We were one of four local organisations short listed for the award which was decided by public vote. At the close of the online voting Peace Hospice Care had secured 56% of the online vote. We also submitted a number of voting cards to register additional votes.

Speaking about the award, Declan Carroll who is CEO at Peace Hospice Care, said: "We are delighted to have picked up this award. We received a huge amount of local support and I think that is a reflection of the special place we have in the Watford community and, also, a recognition of the outstanding care we deliver. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for us."

Photography from the event is available on the Peace Hospice Care Facebook page as is a video clip of the reaction when the award was announced.
