Registration is now open for Peace Hospice Care's family fundraising event, the Watford Colour Run, which will take place on Sunday 21st May 2017 at Aldenham Country Park.
Last year, Peace Hospice Care's 5k fundraising fun run sold out with 1,100 people taking part. So, anyone interested in taking part this year is urged to sign up early to avoid missing out. The Watford Colour Run, which is being supported by Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, will take participants around Aldenham Country Park, including a visit to the Winne the Pooh Hundred Akker Wood. Along the route participants will be peppered with coloured powder along with some other surprises.
Peter Watson, Events and Community Fundraising Manager at Peace Hospice Care, said: "Last year the Watford Colour Run was a huge success and this year it will be bigger and better. It's a fun community event and a great way to support the charity whilst raising vital funds for Peace Hospice Care to support those with a life-limiting illness."
There is no age or time limit to finishing the course so participants can hop, skip, jump, walk or dance their way round. The run will start at 10.30am but there will also be live music, food stalls, rides and games throughout the day.
Early bird entry is available until 1st March 2017 at just £18 for adults and £10 for children plus under 5s are free. To join the Watford Colour Run please visit the event page or email email@example.com call 01923 335373.
Every year the Hospice needs £5 million to run and deliver its services.
