The Best Bar None Awards took place on Wednesday 24th February 2016 at the Langley in Watford. During the evening the organisers sold raffle tickets and raised £470 for Peace Hospice Care.
Charles, Manager of Rift Bar Watford, said: "We wanted to raise funds for a local Watford based Charity as we are based on the high street."
The annual Best Bar None awards are a national award scheme aimed to promote responsible management and operations of alcohol licenced venues. The Watford awards were launched to uphold community safety and to celebrate the high standard of pubs and clubs in Watford town centre.
Pete Watson, Events and Community Fundraising Manager at Peace Hospice Care, said: "We're thrilled to receive the donation from the Best Bar None awards, especially in our 25thAnniversary year. It is only with the commitment and support of local companies and groups, like Best Bar None, that the Hospice has reached this milestone."
Pete added: "Every year Peace Hospice Care has to raise at least £4.2million to continue providing their services to people facing life limiting illnesses across Hertfordshire. So every contribution helps us achieve our target."
