Striking an appropriate Yoga 'tree' pose, patients and staff at the Peace Hospice Care 'Feel Good Friday' group said a fond farewell to their volunteer teacher Kerry Sarhanis.
They all hope they can find another instructor in 2015 who can follow in Kerry's footsteps.
For the past five months, Kerry, a qualified Yoga teacher, has been giving up her time for the group. Gently guiding them all through a memorable physical and mental journey, Kerry has helped the group by using Yoga to improve their wellbeing.
The Feel Good Friday group have been embracing Yoga every week and have enjoyed its positive benefits.
Peace Hospice Care Occupational Therapist Mel Peerless said, 'We are really going to miss Kerry. Yoga has been such a success with the group. For many members of the group it is the first time they have experienced Yoga and it really has been a great success. We don't want to lose Kerry but we wish her well and we really hope we can find another qualified Yoga teacher who can work voluntarily with the group.'
If you are a qualified Yoga teacher and are interested in volunteering to teach the Feel Good Friday group, please contact Mel Peerless on 01923 330330.
