Talented young musicians perform for Peace Hospice Care.

The Popular Peace Classics proved to be a breathtaking concert by talented young musicians from the Purcell School.

It was an evening when music touched hearts, lifted emotions and prompted a  packed audience to rise to their feet for a standing ovation. It was an event that raised more than £3,500 for Peace Hospice Care and  reached the parts that other concerts cannot reach!

A full  programme included classical pieces from Bach, Debussy and Scarlatti as well as a 'touch of jazz' from composers including Gershwin and Porter.

Delicious canapés were provided by the catering and hospitality students of West Herts College and guests enjoyed wine and soft drinks provided by the Blue Check Restaurant in Bushey.

Corporate Development Manager Rachel Fowler said 'We are very grateful to the superb young musicians at the Purcell School for putting on such a fabulous concert.  The audience was amazed, as always, by the quality of the performances.'

She added: 'Everyone at Peace Hospice Care is so pleased with the amount raised, which will be put to good use funding the very special care we provide to all our patients.'
