Can you rise to the occasion?

As part of Watford Food & Drink Week, Peace Hospice Care presents The Great Watford Bake Off on Saturday 7th October at St Mary's Church, Watford.

This is your time to shine, showcase your talents and wow Watford with your baking skills. Whether you're a novice or a superstar baker, don't miss your opportunity to be crowned The Great Watford Bake Off Champion 2017 and help raise lots of dough for Peace Hospice Care at the same time.

You can enter as a Junior, Amateur, Professional or Corporate and choose one of three categories to enter your bake: People's Choice, Peace of Cake, and Spectacular Showstopper.

Guest judges will put their taste buds to the test and select the best bake in each category, assisted by the public who will vote for their favourite on the day.

Bake Off Categories

  • People's Choice
Cupcakes & Tray Bakes - Make 12 identical servings of your favourite cupcake or tray bake.
  • Peace of Cake
Think classic cakes! From a traditional Lemon Drizzle to classic Victoria Sponge, Chocolate Fudge Cake or even a Carrot Cake.
  • Spectacular Showstopper
Showcase your talents here; we are looking for elaborate, extravagant and eccentric.

If you're not a baker, but a taster instead, come along to St Mary's Church, between 11am and 3pm to sample the bakes and other refreshments and have your chance to vote. Entry is via a donation.

For everything you 'knead to know' on how to enter your bake, please register your interest on the right hand side and we will send you an application form.

Closing date for registering your bake is Wednesday 4th October 2017.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your apron, get those hands messy and make some dough!
