Join the Peace Team on this adventure of a lifetime trekking through rice fields and jungle to the iconic temples of Angkor Wat
Lying in the heart of old Indochina, the small country of Cambodia is home to dazzling green rice-paddies and jungle dotted with temples and ruins, villages of thatched, stilted houses, and small towns where Buddhist temples nestle amongst graceful French colonial buildings.
Our exciting trek takes us off the beaten track, following ancient trails passing through rice fields, mountains and jungle through small villages where the way of life has remained unchanged for years.
This region is rich not only in history, but in beautiful landscapes and friendly culture, in fact Cambodia is well recognised as one of the friendliest countries in South-East Asia so you can be assured of receiving plenty of smiles and waves on your journey.
This will be a hot, dusty challenge trekking for approx. 20km each day, but the finish point at Angkor Wat, one of the most renowned and impressive sights in South-East Asia, will reward your efforts.
There are only 20 places available for this adventure of a lifetime. To request an information pack please complete the 'Register Your Interest' form on the right or call the events team on 01923 335373.
To take part in the Cambodia Challenge you'll need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £100 and raise a minimum of £3,150 in sponsorship.
We will be holding an information evening at the Hospice on Thursday 4th May from 6.30pm. It will give everyone a chance to mingle and ask any questions they have to the tour leader regarding the trip. There will be refreshments available and all are welcome!
