Are you recently diagnosed or living with a serious illness? Our Starlight Centre offers a range of services to patients, their carers and families whose lives are affected by cancer or other conditions. Our aim is to help our patients to live well.
Introducing 'The Starlight Centre'
I've been to a few of the Starlight Centre courses which have helped me a huge deal with my cancer but helping me with life in general. The support has made such a difference to me.
You are welcome to join us to meet others, share experiences and learn skills to help improve your quality of life, self-confidence and self esteem. The underlying principle of the service is to empower people to be in control of their condition and where possible achieve what is important to them.
The centre provides a range of wellbeing groups and services including: medicine management, physiotherapy and exercise, talking groups, breathing management plans, creative groups and complementary theory. After an initial assessment with a member of the team to identify what's important to you you will be offered a referral to the services that best meet your needs. This may be on an individual or group basis, in the form of an outpatient appointment, short course, workshop, group or clinic.
